Theres a side mission icon at Cosmodrome that I dont know how to get or if its really there. Yes, a sprint button would be nice (or just allow the taxi to move between “levels”!) but other than some technical stability type issues, this has been one of the best co-op games I’ve played in ages. The look of the world and the density, both in background detail and the NPC’s milling about, has really been a joy to experience.

I’ve spent maybe equal time on Series X and PC versions, and maybe 50% of the time spent in co-op with 2-3 mates.Īside from some day one co-op issues (either couldn’t join or just crapping out) and some the frame rate TANKING during some meaty explosions (PC DX12), this has been such an enjoyable experience. Super frustrating, however I’m sure it’ll be fixed in a patch. I’ve finished all mission EXCEPT two that want me to go to Scrapland - and a bug is preventing Scrapland from opening up.

The Ascent has been such a great game to play in between some meatier titles. THE ASCENT PATCH NOTES We have made game-wide changes to Side Mission availability so they are now only available when they can also be completed. The floor for how bad a game is acceptable to be in order for 4 friends to have some fun messing around in it is so low, yet these last 2 game pass co-op games have been such a massive let down. We played for maybe a half hour total (just got to the town to hand in the first quest) but all of us left pretty much barely wanting to play it anymore. Textures/buildings/people were popping in during the cutscenes, one of my friends got his progress wiped when he joined a game (apparently joining isn't character based, it's save slot based?) and then the absolute dealbreaker was 2 of us got trapped in different cutscenes and the only way to get out of it was to alt-f4 and have the whole party back out to the lobby to reinvite. The performance was hitching and freezing constantly even after we all turned graphics down. The Cosmodrome: During the main mission Trading Places when reaching the Cosmodrome.
